Zekka Miyamoto (宮本ぜか, Miyamoto Zekka) is the descendant of the legendary samurai Musashi Miyamoto and a student of the junior division of Kuoh Academy. She is also a member of the Occult Sword Study Club. Zekka is the main protagonist of Junior High School DxD.
Appearance[]
Zekka is a beautiful young girl with long hair that is a mix of black and dark pink, and dark pink eyes. Zekka wears the Kuoh Academy’s junior high female uniform with black skirt and a blue ribbon, and a belt wrapped around her breasts.
Personality[]
Zekka is a gloomy and lonely girl who didn’t have any friends because of the look of her eyes despite having a pretty face. Due to this, she aims to become the strongest swordswoman in order to become popular and make friends of her own. Because of her Sacred Gear’s ability, she developed a great hatred towards breasts as they took her chance to make friends and made her wish to become a ordinary girl.
History[]
Zekka was born to unknown parents and raised by her grandmother from a young age. She was unable to make friends due to her physical appearance. After hearing about the heroic exploits of Musashi Miyamoto from her grandmother, she decided to become the strongest swordswoman in order to make friends. However, it had the opposite effect and only made her more isolated, so she has since decided to lead a normal and mundane life.
Powers and Abilities[]
Master Swordswoman: Due to being trained by her grandmother from a young age, Zekka is a highly skilled and talented swordswoman, being able to fight on even footing with Xenovia Quarta. Zekka is also capable of using Ex-Durandal, with an indication that due to inheriting her ancestor Musashi's blood and talent, she is innately compatible with all sorts of swords.
- Niten Ichi-ryuu: Zekka uses the particular style of swordsmanship founded by her ancestor Miyamoto Musashi which emphasized dual wielding.
- Niten Ichi-ryuu: Disordered Falling Petals: Zekka launches a powerful horizontal slash at the opponent.[1]
- Niten Ichi-ryuu: Iiriope: A misdirection technique where Zekka leaves behind an afterimage to confuse her opponent and leave them defenseless.
Touki (闘気, Fighting Spirit): Zekka can use Touki, increasing her offense, defense, and speed. With it, she was able to fight evenly with Xenovia when they were both using bamboo swords, albeit without the latter using the power of her Knight Evil Piece.

Eden’s Dual: Zekka’s Sacred Gear made up of two swords, one of which she wields as her primary weapon, which are called First Saint (Saint of the Beginning) and Last Saint (Saint of the End). These swords are stated to carry the souls of God’s most beloved people, who were sealed into the swords for "breaking the taboo." Currently, only the first of the swords known as Tensei resides with Zekka. The second sword, Shusei, disappeared several hundred years ago, preventing Zekka from achieving a full Balance Breaker. Tensei and Shusei are not the swords' actual names, but nicknames that Zekka gave them, as their true names were sealed along with their souls. Had both swords been together, Eden's Dual would be classified as a Longinus-class Sacred Gear. Zekka says the second sword is also needed to challenge a Heavenly Dragon. Due to Tenshi's love of breasts, he resides in Zekka's boobs, and manifests when called upon as a golden light that tears her shirt and sarashi off before she pulls him from her cleavage.
- Ursurption: The first of the Sacred Gear's abilities, it allows Tensei to steal the energy of Zekka's opponent and store it within itself. This energy is then used with the Sacred Gear's second ability. Energy can also be stolen if Zekka's breasts are touched due to Tenshi residing in Zekka's cleavage. When Rias Gremory hugged Zekka, their breasts touched and allowed Tensei to steal some of Rias' "special nyuu energy", which is a vestige of power born of a certain evolution process that prevents Rias's breasts from shrinking, which Rias had as a result of Issei evolving Rias' breasts to the extreme, although Tensei stated that he wouldn't be able to steal more then that vestige. However, due to Tensei's "taste," Zekka cannot steal energy from male and non-humanoid opponents like Annihilation Maker creatures and Dragons, the sword flatly refusing to even theoretically attempt stealing from men, but in the latter case Zekka was easily able to incite him to use Usurption regardless by casting an illusion on herself and them so she would perceive the Dragons as beautiful women, which he instantly fell for and was greatly excited by. If she collects a large enough amount of energy, she can Rank Up, causing her breast size to increase, like when her breasts became E-cups after she absorbed the energy of the Evil Dragons.
- Evolution: The second of the Sacred Gear's abilities, it allows Tensei to turn the stored stolen energy into either high-speed regeneration or Touki for Zekka. It also allows her to use an opponent's powers just once after stealing their life force, such as copying Rias' Power of Destruction. In some cases, abilities can be stolen permanently, depriving the original person of those powers.
- Sacred Gear Expansion: Genesis Sword "Crimson": Zekka causes Destruction energy to overflow from her blade, coating the weapon in it. Just slightly waving the sword caused glass casings to explode and the resulting flying shards to disappear before they hurt anyone.
- Partial-Balance Breaker: Although Zekka cannot achieve a full Balance Breaker without both swords, she is able to access a partial one that boosts her overall abilities.
Ex-Durandal (Temporarily): Zekka temporarily took possession of the Holy Sword given to her by Xenovia. Her compatibility with the Durandal portion was noted to be less then Xenovia, with the sword being reluctant to work with her until she confirmed she was merely a temporary stand-in for Xenovia as opposed to its new wielder, while in contrast she was instantly capable of using the abilities of Excalibur Nightmare and Excalibur Blessing.
