Touki (闘気, Fighting Spirit) is an ability used in High School DxD.

Summary

Those trained in Senjutsu are able to use Touki through controlling their "base of life", in other words, their own life-force.

However, some can use Touki without formal training or practicing Senjutsu, all of which includes intensive physical training as seen in the cases of Sairaorg and Byakko; or being the host of a unique beast as seen by Ouryuu Nakiri, who hosts the Yellow Dragon, the Sacred Beast from the Nakiri Clan.

Abilities

Touki is, in essence the external manifestation of one's life-force, in other words their Ki, which would be wrapped around them as an aura. Using this, a person achieves heightened offense, defense, and speed. It also had the added effect of damaging others from the slightest touch, and defending a user from a wide arrange of attacks, while knocking their foes back too.

Touki has also been shown to be usable on weapons as shown by Sun Wukong who channeled it into his Ruyi Jingu Bang taking down Vali's attacks. In True Volume 4, Sun Wukong displayed the ability to disperse powerful attacks and the clones created by Bikou by enhancing his shouts with Touki.

Specific individuals such as Nezha have displayed the ability to utilize Touki as a ranged projectile. However, he is the only known person to apply Touki in this manner. Whether this is generalizable, if there are prerequisites, or unique to him is unknown.

Trivia

• Most of the time, Touki has a bright white aura, but it can be changed based on the situation as shown when Sairaorg gained a purple one tinged throughout with gold due to releasing Regulus Nemea's Breakdown the Beast.
