Sleep Disease is one of the diseases which Devils of the Underworld develop.

The Sleep Disease is a unique disease to Devils that afflicts both ordinary and noble Devils. When Devils develop this disease, they fall into a deep sleep and won’t be able to wake up. Then their body gradually starts to become weak, and they will meet death. That’s why the patients suffering from the Sleep Disease are forced to maintain their life artificially in a hospital. The Devil doctors have searched for many ways to cure the disease, but they didn’t find any.
History[]
The number of cases that happen were and now are low.
At some point in the past, Ingvild Leviathan ended up with the Sleep Disease that made her enter into a deep sleep and her parents contacted with Leviathan nobles and sent her to the Underworld in an attempt to cure her. She continued to sleep for a hundred years.
At some point in the past, Misla Bael went into a coma due to the disease. Before her coma, she made her son Sairaorg promise her that he would become stronger than anyone else.
In Volume 10, Misla's butler asks Issei Hyoudou to use his Pailingual on Misla but it has no effect. After the Rating Game between Rias and Sairaorg, she manages to wake up from her coma, sharing an emotional moment with her son with Azazel assuming the cause of this is Pailingual and that nothing else could explain it.
By True Volume 1, Ingvild awakened due to the manifestation of her Longinus, Nereid Kyrie. After the incident with Nyx and becoming Issei’s servant, Ingvild appeared at the Occult Research Club where Ajuka Beelzebub informed the group that the Olympian Gods Hypnos and Oneiros had offered to help treat Ingvild of her Sleep Disease to which she agreed.
In True Volume 4, Lord Sitri has shown initial symptoms of the Sleep Disease, thus forcing his daughter Sona Sitri to quit her position as a member of Team DxD so she could become the Head of the Sitri Clan.
