Regulus (レグルス, Regurusu) is Sairaorg Bael's Pawn, as well as the spirit residing in the Longinus; Regulus Nemea.
Appearance[]
He is also known as the Nemean Lion. He is about four to five meters tall and has a jewel on his forehead.
In his human form, he has the appearance of a young boy with spiky dark orange hair, golden eyes, and facial markings.
Personality[]
Regulus is shown to be an observant fighter. He's also extremely loyal to Sairaorg, calling him "Master", and constantly tries to help him by any means necessary.
History[]
Regulus is one of the children of the King of Monsters, Typhon and the Mother of Dog Monsters, Echidna, the strongest among Nemean Lions, who was defeated by the original Heracles as apart of his Twelve Labors, and then was sealed by God of the Bible inside the Longinus, Regulus Nemea.[1]
After its previous wielder died, Regulus, somehow, materialized himself and killed the group of people that was responsible for his host's murder. It was also at that exact time that Regulus met Sairaorg, who managed to tame him, and then reincarnate him into a Devil worth 7 Pawn Pieces.[2]
Powers & Abilities[]
Demonic Power: As a Devil, Regulus has all the common skills and powers of one.
Immense Strength: As the son of one of the "Top 10 Strongest Beings in the World" and the Strongest Nemean Lion, Regulus has immense strength, being an opponent of the Demigod, Heracles. As an avatar of Regulus Nemea, his full strength is enough to split the Earth in half. In his lion form, he was able to easily overwhelm Rias, a powerful Devil, albeit holding back enough that she didn't retire to not interrupt his Master's match and force Issei to use a Phoenix Tear. During the Hell Disaster, Regulus demonstrated enough power to easily defeat countless artificial Devils and Grim Reapers.
Immense Durability: Regulus demonstrated great durability, as he was able to withstand Rias' Power of Destruction without any injures.
Regulus transforms into his Nemean Lion form.
Transformation: Regulus has the ability to transform to a young boy who about the same age as Issei.
Flight: Being a Devil, Regulus can use his wings to fly.
Equipment[]
Pawn Piece (兵士の駒, Pōn no Koma): Due being the of avatar of Regulus Nemea, Regulus needed to be reincarnated using seven Pawn Pieces, granting him more power than a normal pawn. As a Pawn, he doesn't initially possess any special abilities like the other Evil Pieces but he can use Promotion to gain the abilities of other Evil Pieces.
- Promotion: Being a Pawn, Regulus can use Promotion to temporarily gain the traits of a Queen, Rook, Knight or Bishop.

- In Greek mythology, the Nemean lion was a monster that terrorized the city of Nemea until it was slain by Heracles impervious to attacks and weapons, forcing the Demigod to strangle the Nemean Lion to death.
- Regulus is the name of the brightest star in the Leo constellation.
- Regulus is Latin for 'prince' or 'little king'. Being possessed by Sairaorg references him being a prince and that he comes from the Great King-ranked Bael clan.
- In Greek mythology, Regulus was one of the monsters that was raised by Typhon and Echidna, along with Orthrus, Sphinx, Cerberus, Ladon, Hydrea, Eagle, and Chimera.
