The Norse Gods (北欧の神々, Hokuō no Kamigami) are the Gods that rule over Norse mythology with Vidar as its current leader.
Summary[]
The Norse Gods have been active since ancient times where Odin became the ruler of Asgard, as well the leader of the Norse Gods and Valkyries, and he gave away his left eye to the Mímisbrunnr. One of the Gods, Loki wanted to start Ragnarök to bring an end to the Norse Gods. After the death of God of the Bible and the threats of the Khaos Brigade, Odin and the Norse Gods decided to form an alliance with the Three Factions.
When the DxD team was formed, Azazel told Vali that Odin planned to take him as a adopted son to help pardon his and his team crimes for working with the Khaos Brigade, thus making him a adoptive member of the Odin family.
During the Evil Dragon War, when Trihexa awoke and began its rampage by attacking every mythological worlds, Odin and the six other major Gods from Norse mythology sealed themselves at the Isolation Barrier Field to contain Trihexa.
Odin’s third son Vidar became the new Chief God of Norse mythology after his father and his two older brothers Thor and Baldur sealed themselves to fight against Trihexa. The higher-ups of Norse made arrangements for Vidar to marry Odin’s former assistant, Rossweisse. In the marriage interview, Vidar was accompanied by the Goddess maids that served the Odin family, Fulla, Hlin, Gná and the Chief Valkyrie Brynhildr.

Asgard[]
The domain of the Aesir Gods, where the majority of the of the Asgardians live. It is stated that Asgard is the most advanced society in terms of Magic knowledge as the knowledge in Magic determines the status of the individual. The Half-Gods that live there create and polish their unique Magic, techniques, and tradition, that had been passed through their family where they have those aspects being carried on to the next generation as their priority. And they use that as the symbol to represent the inheritor when they have the generation change where they carve the emblem into their body and soul as each heir of the family inherits the symbol from their predecessor. The realm is ruled by the Asgardian Gods, namely the Chief God; which formerly Odin and later his successor, Vidar. Asgard came under attack by Qlippoth during the Evil Dragon War, but with the assistance of Team DxD and the Hindu Gods, the residents of Asgard were able to repel the invasion.
Niflheim[]
An icy region situated in the Norse World, supervised by the Norse goddess Hel.[1]
Muspelheim[]
A burning land in the far south of the Norse World, led by the king of Muspel Surtr.[2]
Thor Stadium[]
A huge stadium in a corner of Valhalla. At the entrance is a statue of Thor, the God of Thunder with Mjolnir. During the “Azazel Cup” preliminary round, a match was held between Team Red Dragon Emperor of the Blazing Truth and Team Leisure of the Kings. The stadium contains a replica of the World Tree; Yggdrasil, as it serves as the battlefield for team that compete in the match using the Yggdrasil Climb Rating Game rules. It also has several floating island surrounding it which can serve as footholds for participants to battle.
Trivia[]
- Despite not originating from Asgard or even the Norse Mythology, Vali Lucifer is considered as a prince of Asgard due to him being adopted by Odin following the Vampire Civil War, being counted as one of Odin's children and the stepbrother of Thor and Vidar.
- In Volume 21, the Norse World is described as making up three levels, the lowest ones being the Helheim or Hel which is the Norse Realm of the Dead and the Icy Region, Niflheim, and the highest one being Asgard where the gods reside.[3]
- Thor is the only Norse God to be placed among the Top-10 Strongest Beings in the World.
