Light Power is the power primarily used by Angels and Fallen Angels in High School DxD.

All Angels created by God of the Bible, are able to manipulate the power of light, letting them create light-based weapons able to deal extra damage to creatures of darkness such as Devils, Vampires, and Youkai, being almost like a poison to them. Despite "falling" due to them either teaching humans Heaven's secrets and sleeping with human woman, Fallen Angels maintain their light powers.
There is an advanced application of using Light Powers employed by high-ranking Angels, who combines light and another element to produce a light-infused variant, such as Baraqiel, who fuses light and lightning to create Holy Lightning, and Uriel, who combines light and fire to create Holy Fire. Both of them are considered to have the highest amount of firepower able to erase High-Class Devils and wound Ultimate-Class Devils in a single attack. But, this can be inherited as Akeno Himejima, Baraqiel's daughter inherited his power too.
Since members of the Brave Saints are Reincarnated Angels, they can use the same Light Powers, with some having their own unique examples of use: Griselda can strengthen her fellow Angel's light using hers,[1] Jessica can use Light Powers to produce barriers,[2] and Ryuu, a Chinese martial artist who uses it as the core of his fighting style.[1]
Light Powers can also be imbued into items such as Light Swords and Guns, which is often wielded by Exorcists in order to hunt creatures of darkness.
Humans and Magicians can mimic the same Light Powers are Angels through either using Light Magic, or Sacred Gears, like Staring Blue and Green or the True Longinus and Incinerate Anthem.
