Leviathan is one of the original Four Great Satans clans, who ruled over all Devils including the 72 Pillars, being famous for its ability to manipulate and control water.
Summary[]
The Leviathan Clan originates from the original Leviathan, who is its progenitor. Desiring world domination, Leviathan joined her fellow Satans in realizing their mutual ambition to become the Kings of the World as they attempted to destroy Heaven, God of the Bible and his Angels as well as Azazel and his Fallen Angels.
Waging war against Heaven and Grigori, the original Leviathan was killed in the Great War alongside the other Satans.
Leviathan's daughter, Tsufaame Tereaku Leviathan, inherited her mother's ambition for world domination, as she alongside the other children of the original Satans prepared to restart the Great War in order to destroy Michael and Azazel as well as the Gods of other mythologies to take over the world and rule as its dictators as her mother had wished for.
During the Devil Civil War, Tsufaame with her army fought against Ajuka Astaroth and his army. The two engaged in single combat as Tsufaame was easily overpowered by Ajuka and killed.[1]
Several hundred years later, Katerea Leviathan, alongside other descendants of the Satans formed the Old Satan Faction, in order to fulfill their ancestors' original goal for the Satan Clans to become rulers of the World by using Ophis as a means of achieving their goals. She along with the Khaos Brigade Magician faction; Nilrem, tried to ambush and disrupt the peace conference between Sirzechs, Azazel, and Michael. She fought Azazel and despite using Ophis' Snake to increase her power to that of the original Leviathan, she was easily defeated by Azazel after he used his Down Fall Dragon Another Armor to increase his own power. She was killed by her own self-destruct spell in a vain attempt to kill Azazel alongside herself.[2]
Several months later, the half-human hybrid of Leviathan, Ingvild Leviathan awoke from her sleeping sickness due to the manifestation of her Longinus; Nereid Kyrie. She was found by Nyx, who attempted to brainwash her using her magic, but Ingvild's heritage as the descendant of the Satan Leviathan allowed her to partially resist, as she was taken to the Grigori institute to help her with her Sacred Gear. While testing her powers, the brainwashing spell activated as she used her powers to teleport to Kuoh Town where she met Issei Hyoudou, who saved her from a group of unknown devils, and she disappeared afterwards before he could talk with her. She reappeared during Team DxD's subjugation of unknown Devils, where she was forced to use her Sacred Gear on Issei. After finding out her circumstances, the Occult Research Club took her to a beach where they were attacked by Nyx, who used the brainwashing magic to make Ingvild weaken Issei with her Sacred Gear. After promising to save her, Issei went to fight Nyx, and he contacted Ingvild to make her use her powers to strengthen him which allowed him to defeat Nyx. After Nyx's defeat, Ingvild became Issei's Queen.[3]

Sea Serpent of the End: The special ability of the Leviathan bloodline. It allows a Leviathan to control oceans and seas, including its inhabitants. They also can summon great amounts of water and control it. Another trait of it allows the Leviathan to transform into a gigantic serpent-like seadragon that can attack with a blue-black aura breath from its mouth. Since the ability is not as powerful in the Underworld due to the lack of oceans, its power is there diminished.
Immense Demonic Power: The members of the Leviathan Clan possess extremely powerful demonic power, exceeding that of a normal High-Class Devil from a 72 Pillar and Extra Demon Bloodline.
Multiple Wings: All Devils that are blood-descendants of the original Leviathan have the unique trait of possessing multiple wings, similar to Angels and Fallen Angels.
