D×D is a team formed to combat Rizevim Livan Lucifer and the Khaos Brigade. In the aftermath of Rizevim's death and the end of the Evil Dragon War, DxD has been reorganized into a peacekeeping force to defend the mythological realms from those who would threaten the balance of the world such as Hades and the Alliance of Hell.
Summary[]
D×D was officially formed in Volume 16, after the impact left by the Qlippoth at the Vampire's territory, with Rizevim revealing all of his goals. The main purpose of this team is to prevent Rizevim from releasing 666 and pitting it against Great Red which could result in the end of the world.
In Volume 17, while members of D×D were attending the open day for Sona Sitri's school, they were suddenly attacked by members of Qlippoth. They managed to protect the school along with the children and their families, but lost the floating city Agreas to Qlippoth.
D×D helped defend Heaven against the attack of Qlippoth in Volume 18. Although they were victorious in the fights against Qlippoth, the team was surprised at the fact that the attack happened for no reason and just because Heaven was close to the place[note 1] where they got the fruits of wisdom and life.
In Volume 19, D×D defeated the exorcists, led by two notable warriors: Vasco Strada and Ewald Cristaldi, that rebelled against the Church.
D×D manages to locate the stolen city Agreas, the base of Qlippoth in Volume 20, where they began an invasion to take it back. In the end they manage to retrieve Agreas, defeat most of Qlippoth's members and finish Rizevim once and for all, but are then met with a reawakened Trihexa who begins to go on a world wide global rampage led by Apophis and Aži Dahāka with the Sephiroth Graal, followed by an armada of mass-produced Evil Dragons and Plate Mail armors under their command.
In Volume 21, during the Evil Dragon War, in the last stand to stop the Khaos Brigade and Trihexa; who has split into multiple bodies, Team D×D developed an army of various races and factions to finish off Trihexa and Qlippoth's army. When the war continued to drag on Azazel initiated his plan to seal all of Trihexa's bodies along with him and many of the other mythology leaders.
In Volume 22, all of DxD members opted to participate in the newly announced Azazel Cup, with several teams being formed from members of DxD participating including the Rookies Four, Dulio Gesualdo leading the Brave Saints, Sun Wukong and his Journey to the West Team, Cao Cao and his Hero Faction, Tobio Ikuse and his Slash/Dog Team, Vali Lucifer and members of his Vali Team as well as the newly promoted Issei Hyoudou and his team which initially consisted of members of his peerage.
In Volume 24, DxD was investigating the circumstances of the Netherworld and why Thanatos' Grim Reaper forces were targeting Koneko Toujou and her sister Kuroka. During the Rating Game match of "Team Rias Gremory" vs "Team White Dragon Emperor of the Morning Star", Issei Hyoudou and his peerage along with the remaining members of the Occult Research Club teamed up with Tobio Ikuse and his Slash/Dog Team in order to protect the match that was being targeted by Thanatos and his Grim Reapers. The groups were divided into one group featuring Ouryuu Nakiri and Bova Tannin, another featuring members of Team Red Dragon Emperor of the Blazing Truth (Xenovia Quarta, Shidou Irina, Asia Argento, and Elmenhilde Karnstein), Bennia from the Sitri Peerage as well as members of the Slash/Dog Team (Kouki Samejima, Natsume Minagawa and Lavinia Reni). Tobio Ikuse faced a Executive-class Grim Reaper and defeated it easily as he continued to fight against a group of a hundred Grim Reapers while leaving Thanatos to Issei Hyoudou. Thanatos was defeated by Issei Hyoudou's new breast technique: Nyuutron Beam Cannon.
In Volume 25, at the party in the Hyoudou Residence, Sun Wukong congratulated the members of DxD who made it to the main stage of the Azazel Cup, saying that if there weren't any battle Gods, every member of DxD would be unstoppable. During the party, nearly every male member of DxD (Vali Lucifer, Sairaorg Bael, Cao Cao, Dulio Gesualdo, Yuuto Kiba, Tobio Ikuse and Genshirou Saji) expressed their desire to fight against Issei Hyoudou in the tournament.
In True Volume 1, while the past and current members of the Occult Research Club (Rias Gremory's and Issei Hyoudou's peerage) were exterminating a group of unknown Devils, they encountered Ingvild Leviathan, who used her Longinus to stop both Issei Hyoudou and Bova Tannin. After stopping her with Rossweisse's hypnosis magic, they brought her to the Hyoudou Residence where Ajuka Beelzebub revealed her circumstances as well as the fact that the Alliance of Hell lead by Hades managed to find the Mother of Devils; Lilith, and were using her to produce Devils. Ajuka Beelzebub ordered DxD to protect Ingvild and defeat the boss behind the attack of the unknown Devils if they come for Ingvild. After Nyx attacked the ORC members at the beach, DxD received authorization from the current chief God of Olympus; Apollon, to defeat Nyx so Olympus could seal her as Cao Cao and Tobio Ikuse had already discovered her base. After defeating the artificial Devils guarding her base, Nyx was defeated by Issei Hyoudou and the manifested Ddraig.
In True Volume 3, the current and former members of the Occult Research Club went to Kyoto to perform a Oppai Dragon event for the Youkai living in Kyoto, with members of the Hero Faction and Slash/Dog Team acting as their escort and guard. After learning of Erebus' plan to cause chaos in Kyoto by using it's leylines as well as the attacks of the artificial Devils Gressil and Sonneillon, DxD worked to protect Kyoto by using Georg's Dimension Lost to minimize damage and defeat Erebus and his artificial devils without causing damage to Kyoto. Cao Cao and his Hero Faction defeated Sonneillon and his group of artificial Devils, while Tobio Ikuse and his Slash/Dog team defeated Gressil and his group of artificial Devils. The main force of DxD lead by Issei Hyoudou defeated Erebus and his group of artificial Devils. With Erebus' defeat, Tartarus revealed himself and nearly succeeded in his attempt to trap DxD and their Longinus users in the Abyss but was defeated by Issei Hyoudou in his new form; Apocalypse AnswerArms.
In True Volume 4, Issei Hyoudou was attacked by Meredith Ordinton, a Magician allied with the Alliance of Hell, who sealed his sexual desire with her Longinus in an attempt to weaken him. As all of the mythologies agreed with the objective to defeat the Alliance of Hell, Team DxD moved to capture Hades and his cohorts, forcing them to evacuate to their stronghold in London as Team DxD seized control of the Realm of the Dead. With the main members of Team DxD gathered in London, they moved to discuss the situation and plan out their strategy. Realizing the danger of sending Sacred Gear wielders against Meredith, the members decided to send a team consisting of non-Sacred Gear possessors to confront her (Le Fay Pendragon, Arthur Pendragon, Kuroka, Koneko Toujou and Elmenhilde Karnstein) while members of the Occult Research Club (Rias Gremory, Gasper Vladi, Akeno Himejima, Rossweisse, Xenovia Quarta and Irina Shidou) moved to confront Verrine, who was acting as her bodyguard. Meanwhile the main force would confront the artificial Devils and Grim Reapers that were stationed to protect the London temple, with Sairaorg Bael facing off against Balberith, defeating him due to Balberith not fighting with his usual fighting style. The Two Heavenly Dragons (Ddraig and Albion) as well as Crom Cruach faced off against Angra Mainyu's Evil Dragons, overwhelming them easily but unable to fully defeat them due to their regeneration abilities until Angra Mainyu himself was defeated. The Two Heavenly Dragons (Issei Hyoudou and Vali Lucifer), along with Fenrir and Gogmagog faced off against the last two Gods of Hell (Hades and Angra Mainyu) with Vali and Fenrir fighting Hades while Issei and Gogmagog fighting Angra Mainyu. However, Angra Mainyu initially managed to overwhelm Issei, due to exploiting the fear of breasts that Meredith managed to create with her Longinus, by transforming into a beautiful woman. Just as Angra Mainyu was preparing to finish off Issei, Issei was able to regain his love for breasts due to Meredith's defeat and unlock True Dragon Deification to overwhelm and defeat Angra Mainyu. Issei and Vali teamed up to overwhelm Hades together, defeating him and capturing him. In the aftermath of the Hell Disaster, most of the Team DxD members received promotions for their achievements, in particular Issei and Vali who were promoted to the newly created Special-class Devil category. It is revealed by Sona Sitri that due to the fact that her father; Lord Sitri, developed the Sleep Disease, she would be forced to take over the role as Head of the Sitri clan and withdraw from the front lines, as she and her peerage would focus on information collection or provisioning supplies for DxD. She also traded three of her servants (Bennia Orcus, Loup Garou and Ruruko Nimura) to Issei Hyoudou, Rias Gremory and Xenovia Quarta, so that they could keep fighting alongside Team DxD.
Privileges and Purpose[]
The group functions as an anti-terrorist cell to confront Khaos Brigade effectively. They are given permission to appear in any location where Qlippoth is in activity to confront them by the leaders of various mythologies. They are not intended to function as a mobile army and appear together at any given location, but to primarily send the nearest groups to confront Qlippoth when they do appear. Their role is also stated to be to protect Great Red, as Qlippoth's ultimate objective is to summon 666 to eliminate it. Finally, for the sake of confronting their adversaries both present and future, the group's training is supervised by Sun Wukong himself.
After Qlippoth's defeat, DxD was mostly on standby due to most of its members competing in the Azazel Cup as a significant amount of its members received support during the tournament.
Many mythological factions or other influential factions in the Human World would make requests to DxD in resolving certain matters.
Team DxD is highly regarded among all factions and it is considered a great honor to be a member and anyone who has a direct relation with members of Team DxD has high authority alone, as demonstrated by Lord Uther Pendragon, whose children; Arthur and Le Fay are Team DxD members and because of that, the powerful in the political world come to him for explanations.[1]

Kuoh Town[]
A town in the country of Japan. Due to the Three Factions signing the Kuoh Treaty there, the town has become an important place of cooperation between the Three Factions and one of the places that Team DxD uses a a base. The members of the Gremory and Sitri peerages live in the town and attend school in Kuoh Academy. Vali Lucifer also moved to Kuoh Town under the suggestion of his step-brother Vidar and his teammates. The town has several barriers; which are the combined result of Ajuka Beelzebub techniques, Grigori's technology and Norse mythology's magic, placed on it to prevent incorsion from enemy forces. However, due to the enemy factions receiving support of the Nebiros Clan; which specializes in research, the barrier was breached several times.
Hyoudou Residence[]
The residence of the Hyoudou Family. The house is the place of residence for the members of the Hyoudou Peerage, the female members of the Gremory Peerage and several others. After the Gremory Clan renovated the house, it is known to serve as place of meeting for the VIP's visiting Kuoh Town.
Café CxC[]
A private café for the members of DxD and the supernatural beings affiliated with them. It is located at the top floor of a building in Kuoh Town’s shopping district. The Three Factions split the management of the cafe, with the building of the belonging to the Grigori, the shop itself belonging to Heaven, while the production of it is left to those in the Hyoudou household, who are from the Underworld.

- The name DxD is a reference to Great Red, as refers to the groups original aim of protect Great Red from Rizevim Livan Lucifer and his aim of killing Great Red with 666 (Trihexa) for the sake of his goal of invading the world of Evie Etoulde.
- It can also stand for Devils, also a Dragon, and the word “Fallen” of a Fallen Angel—like downfall.
- It can also refers to Issei Hyoudou who was reborn from Great Red's flesh and also bears the name.
- It is also a reference to Issei Hyoudou and Vali Lucifer have made another meaning for the name that refers to themselves: "Diabolos (Devil) Dragon", and later their new forms: Diabolos Dragon.
