Excalibur Blessing (祝福の聖剣(エクスカリバー・ブレッシング), Ekusukaribā Buresshingu), also known as the Holy Sword of Blessing (祝福の聖剣, Shukufuku no Seiken), is a Holy Sword and one of the seven Excaliburs.

Summary[]

One of the seven Excaliburs created after the original Excalibur broke. It was then kept by the Church for safekeeping along with other Excalibur swords. It first debuted in Volume 9 when it was fused with Durandal along with five other Excalibur fragments to form Ex-Durandal, which Xenovia Quarta used to battle against the Hero Faction in Kyoto.[1]

In Volume 19, Xenovia removed all of the fragments from Durandal as one item, thus reforming the original Excalibur.[2]

Appearance[]

The sword resembles a European sword with a golden guard that curves forward. The base of the blade curves inward. Excalibur Blessing has a green plant stem with leaf petals design engraved along the blade.

Abilities[]

The sword relates to one's belief in the teachings of Christianity, and it has been said that it mainly shows its effects when used on holy rituals. For example, it can do things like weaken Devils and Vampires during an exorcism, give blessing to those who are participating in the mass, as well as strengthen an Exorcist's power.[3] In combat, it can be used to enhanced the overall power of Holy Power as shown by Ewald Cristaldi enhancing a Holy Power barrier he cast using a replica version of Excalibur Blessing.
