Summary[]
A large scale conflict that encompassed the entire mythological world as all factions tried to stop the awakened legendary Imperial Beast of Apocalypse; the 666 (Trihexa). This also marks the final battle against Qlippoth.
Prelude[]
After Team DxD's victory over Rizevim Livan Lucifer at Agreas, it seemed that Qlippoth and the release of the 666 (Trihexa) was thwarted. However, a recording of Rizevim revealed in the case of his death, his soul would be used as the power source to awaken Trihexa. As Trihexa awakened, the two Evil Dragons, Apophis and Aži Dahāka, issued a challenge to Team DxD as they told Team DxD that they would soon face other in a fight to the death.
History[]
As Trihexa emerged from its sleep, the Evil Dragons directed it to attack the Grigori headquarters, decimating it and later teleported it to Heaven, where it laid waste to the First Heaven. After that, they lead it to attack the Norse World, with Aži Dahāka attacking using his magic and Apophis darkening the sky and unleashing his Primordial Water. The Valkyries and Norse Gods went to defend, with them being assisted by the Hindu Gods and Team DxD. After 3 days of intensive fighting, Trihexa was teleported away, as the Norse World was saved.

Sairaorg arriving to assist Saji against Bedeze Abaddon
Due to the chaos cause by Trihexa's rampage, Bedeze Abaddon and his supporters attempted to take down the Great King Faction in order to cover up Bedeze's involvement in the King Piece scandal. Bedeze fought against Genshirou Saji, easily overwhelming him as Bedeze pushed him back due to his Satan-class power and mastery of his signature Hole ability. Sairaorg Bael arrived to aid Saji but was also overwhelmed initially until he unleashed his Breakdown the Beast form, which allowed Sairaorg to destroy Bedeze's Holes as Sairaorg overpowered him and defeated him. Bedeze was taken into custody as Roygun Belphegor helped to suppress the rebels, allowing Sairaorg's and Sona's peerages to return to the front lines to stop Trihexa.
Trihexa split itself into seven separate bodies with one heading to the coast of Japan, another heading to the mountainous areas of Europe, one flying into the Dimensional Gap and the rest attacking the various territories of the various mythological factions (Greek, Hindu, Celtic, and Egyptian mythology).
The Japanese front engaged the Trihexa body trying to reach Japan, with various skilled fighters fighting against the mass-produced Evil Dragons. Xenovia lead the attack with her Cross Crisis attack as Irina followed her as all of the members of the Occult Research Club join in the battle. Yuuto, Koneko and Ravel worked together as a joined group, as Rias had Issei equip her with Crimson Extinction Dragonar, which strengthened her power. The Sitri peerage joined in as Saji unleashed his black flames, Sona unleashed her water monsters to attack. Akeno and her cousin Suzaku worked together as Akeno summoned her Holy Lightning Dragon to assist the sacred bird Suzaku. The enemy unleashed the Plate Mail armors, who used Dragon Shots to injure and kill many warriors, though they were saved by Asia's Balance Breaker. Dulio used his Balance Breaker; Flagello di Colori del Arcobaleno, Speranza di Briscola, to alter the weather as he generate countless bubbles which created various weather phenomena inside them, destroying many mass-produced Evil Dragons and Plate Mail armors. Apophis used the Holy Grail to create more mass-produced Evil Dragons, with Xenovia and Dulio trying to damage Trihexa but being unsuccessful. Crom Cruach and Cao Cao joined the fight, as each killed a vast amount of enemies. Sairaorg and his peerage were finally able to join the fight, as Sairaorg began to punch and kick away vast amounts of mass-produced Evil Dragons. Vasco Strada also joined the fight, slicing apart mass-produced Evil Dragons with his Durandal Replica. As the preparation for the Trihexa sealing technique were ready, Cao Cao used Truth Idea, which forced the Evil Dragons to move away as it even affected Apophis, who fled the battle. Rossweisse activated the Trihexa sealing technique, stopping its movements as the warriors of the Japanese front began to exterminate the mass-produced Evil Dragons and Plate Mail armors. Issei entrusted Gasper and Valerie with retrieving the Holy Grail as he chased after Apophis.
The European front engaged the the Trihexa body and the mountain of a certain European country. The front's vanguards were the Vali Team and Slash/Dog Team. Tobio Ikuse told Vali Lucifer to go fight Aži Dahāka, knowing that Vali's mother lives at the rural part of the country and Vali's desire to protect her. Tobio activated his Abyss Balance Breaker; Perfectus Tenebrae Lykaon et Fortis Densus Laelaps, as he transformed into a beast of darkness and covered the whole mountain with dark blades, which tore apart the Evil Dragons and Plate Mail armors. Lavinia Reni reassured Vali and began to activate her own Balance Breaker; Assoluto Argento Mondo, as Tannin told Vali to be careful about Aži Dahāka's magic.
Vali flew to Aži Dahāka's location as the two engaged in combat. Aži Dahāka initially overwhelmed Vali as he used light magic to injure Vali. Aži Dahāka used his forbidden technique to try and defeat Vali, but Vali transformed into his Empireo Juggernaut Overdrive and used Compression Divider to eliminate the forbidden technique, though Vali was forced to transform back in his standard Scale Mail due to the massive stamina consumption of the form. Aži Dahāka taunted Albion about Albion's past name and poison ability as he used his illusion magic to create a illusion of Vali's deepest desire; which was to live in a normal, loving family. As Vali escaped the illusion, Albion gained insight into Vali's consciousness as he picked up his discarded name. Ophis contacted Vali and gave her encouragement to him and Albion as Vali was able to combine his Lucifer power and White Dragon Emperor power into one, creating Diabolos Dragon Lucifer; Vali's own DxD armor. As Vali and Aži Dahāka resumed their battle, Vali was able to fight on par with Aži Dahāka, as Vali unleashed a assault of enhanced demonic power at him. Aži Dahāka created a hundred illusory clones, all of which began to unleash offensive magic but their magic and the clones themselves were eliminated by Vali's Satan Compression Divider. As their duel continued, mass-produced Evil Dragons attempted to interfere in their fight, which angered Aži Dahāka. Vali eliminated them all with Albion's special poison ability, Reduce. Running low on magical power, Aži Dahāka attempted to bite Vali with his fangs but Vali defeated him by using his finishing attack, Satan Lucifer Smasher.
Meanwhile, back at the Japanese front, Issei Hyoudou faced Apophis, as Issei started the fight by firing several Dragon Shots, as Apophis counterattacked by manipulating darkness to create a attack on both Issei's left and right sides and Issei evaded them by flying into the air, though his wing was damaged by the darkness. After that, Issei moved to put some distance between them. Issei then launched a continuous bombardment of Dragon Shots from the air. Apophis conjured up darkness in front of himself, and erased all of Issei shots of demonic energy. Apophis then called forth a surge of darkness to surround Issei and fired projectiles from the darkness towards Issei. Apophis then control the weather to create his world of darkness as he transformed into his Dragon form, though he didn't move to attack Issei. When asked by Issei about it, Apophis revealed that he wanted Issei to transform into his Diabolos Dragon form. Due to the risks of the form, Issei decided not to use it, as he resumed the battle. Issei attempted to use Ascalon + Solid Impact to damage Apophis, but Apophis controlled the Dark Water to piece through Issei limbs and shot a darkness breath with Issei dodged but was pieced in his chest a stream of Dark Water. Seeing the charm his mother gave him, Issei resolved himself to win, as he activated his Diabolos Dragon form. Issei threw a punch enhanced by the power of infinity, which Apophis was unable to nullify. Apophis spew darkness from his mouth which Issei attempted to nullify with a infinite Dragon Shot, but was pushed back as the darkness melted a portion of his armor. Issei and Apophis continued their fight as they decided to finish it, with Apophis unleashing a extraordinarily large ball of darkness from his mouth and Issei using Infinity Blaster, resulting in a stalemate between their attacks as Apophis began to spit out three enormous masses of darkness. Issei added his Longinus Smasher to the attack, overpowering Apophis' darkness and killing him.
After killing Apophis, Issei noticed the detached core of Trihexa, as Sirzechs Lucifer teleported to Issei's location, explaining the situation and the fact that their allies have gained control of the Holy Grail, which stopped the mass-produced Evil Dragons and Plate Mail armors from being further created as they were eliminated by their allies. Sirzechs assumed his true form as he and Issei engaged Trihexa. Issei and Sirzechs coordinated their attacks and despite their strongest attacks, they were still unable to inflict any substantial damage due to Trihexa's regeneration, even when Issei's used Ddraig's special flames, Blazing Inferno of Scorching Flame. As the backlash from Issei's DxD armor begun to take effect, Sirzech summoned his peerage and prepared to implement their strategy. Before implementing the strategy, Sirzechs used a hypnosis technique on Grayfia to make her lose consciousness as he wanted her to stay behind to raise their son Millicas, as the peerage transferred the the core into the Isolation Field Barrier.
On the European front, Azazel along with Michael and the Gods that were fighting there prepared to transfer the cores. Despite Vali's pleading, Azazel went inside as he asked Vali's team to look after Vali.
Conclusion[]
Due to the strength of Trihexa, it was sealed in the specially created alternate dimension called the Isolation Field Barrier. Despite being effective against Trihexa, there exists the high possibility of Trihexa escaping due its power. To counter that, several gods from various mythologies and other strong individuals were sealed with it, in order to steadily cut down its combat power. According to Rossweisse's calculations, it would take few thousand years at the least, or perhaps ten thousand years to fully defeat Trihexa.
The conflict caused a historic loss of powers from all of the mythologies, especially combat strength of Heaven and the Underworld, which significantly declined; the overall combat strength that The Three Factions worked hard to recover after the War was once again exhausted.
Vali Lucifer (White Dragon Emperor of the Morning Star) and Issei Hyoudou (Red Dragon Emperor of the Blazing Truth) became acknowledged as future Super Devil candidates.
Due to his contributions during the conflict and various conflicts before, a certain proposal was passed in the upper echelons of the Underworld, as Issei was was nominated for a promotion to become a High-class Devil. Being advocated for a promotion to a high-class Devil within less than a year after reincarnation, was an exception among exceptions that had never occurred in the past.
Due to the loss of several Satans, a proposal was made to expand the Four Great Satans into the Seven Great Satans system.
To alleviate the tension between the factions and cultivate powerful beings to fight against future threats, the Azazel Cup was organized, as a Rating Game tournament in which all factions could compete in.
