The game field was a large aquatic battlefield with countless giant lotus flowers and leaves which reflected Team Journey to the West's relation to Buddhism, and the relationship between Buddhism and lotus appeared to be reflected on the battleground.

Vali Lucifer, in his Diabolos Dragon Lucifer armor, dueled against Prince Nezha, as he unleashed his aura bombardment to try to defeat Nezha, who continuously dodged his attacks and counterattacked using his Fire-tipped Spear. As their fight progressed, Vali's armor got damaged by Nezha's Fire-tipped Spear while Vali's continuous attacks damaged Nezha, who up until that point had remained undamaged in the tournament as Vali repaired his armor and resumed the fight.
Yu-Long, who had already promoted to Queen, was running away while being chased by Fenrir and Gogmagog. As Yu-Long dodged Gogmagog's light beam, he released a aura breath from his mouth, though it did not affect Gogmagog.
Meanwhile, on rocky field at the end of the playing field which had a flowing waterfall nearby, the remaining members of both teams faced off as Bikou and Arthur Pendragon faced Sun Wukong, Le Fay Pendragon and Current Zhu Bajie faced the First Generation Zhu Bajie, Kuroka and Current Sha Wujing faced the First Generation Sha Wujing. Upon hearing the announcement of Yu-Long's retirement and becoming concerned over the possibility of Fenrir and Gogmagog attacking them or Nezha, the First-Generation Journey to the West trio decided to end their fights quickly as First Generation Zhu Bajie and First Generation Sha Wujing used a combination attack against the Vali Team members, which retired Kuroka from the match but not before she completed her magic circle, releasing at poison mist to Sun Wukong. As First Generation Sha Wujing began to tire and Sun Wukong was disoriented by the effects of Kuroka's poison, the Current Journey to the West trio teamed up to attack Sun Wukong, as Le Fay used magic to restrain First Generation Sha Wujing while Arthur fought against First Generation Zhu Bajie to keep him busy, as the the Current Journey to the West trio managed to retire Sun Wukong, resulting in Team White Dragon Emperor of the Morning Star's victory.
