Anti-Satan Faction, also known as Anti-Satan Rebels, is a group of formed by 6 Houses of the 72 Pillars which formed during the Devil Civil War, who opposed the Satan Faction's plans of restarting the Great War.
During the Great War, the original Four Great Satans were killed as the war left all of the Three Factions exhausted and unable to continue the conflict as a uneasy peace that persisted due to no single side having the strength to continue waging war. In the aftermath of the war, the Underworld entered in a period of stagnation with some scholars suggesting that the Devil race was entering a possible decline due to the excessive loss of population and the slow economic recovery, with even the 72 Pillar Devils domains being ravaged by the conflict and their lands suffered as the dictatorial nature of the Satan families meant that the 72 Pillars couldn't rely on the government to provide assistance due to the plights on their domains such as diseases that were plaguing their domains.
When the Satan descendants Bidleid Beelzebub, Tsufaame Leviathan and Damaidosu Asmodeus made it known that they would claim their parents throne as Satans and restart the Great War, the 72 Pillar Houses; Bael and Agares started to build a coalition to counter it. Zekram Bael did his best to bring the Houses Sitri, Astaroth, Glasya-Labolas and Gremory to their side because of the immense power that the clan heirs possessed, which was said to be equal if not superior to the Original Satans.
As the 72 Pillars Pillar Houses were discussing their further plans and actions, a young Beelzebub-descendant gave the order to massacre all members of the resistance faction that are in the city of Lucifaad, without care for civilians or casualties among them. This was the decisive spark that started the already looming Civil War finally. The massacre in Lucifaad was also the event that brought Sirzechs Gremory to the decision to fight against the Satan clans, his friends Ajuka Astaroth, Serafall Sitri and Falbium Glasya-Labolas following him.
At the beginning of the Civil War, the battles between the Satan Faction and the Anti-Satan Faction were one-sided in favor to the Satan Army troops. This changed as Serafall Sitri, Falbium Glasya-Labolas, Ajuka Astaroth and Sirzechs Gremory became involved in the battle and took command of the Anti Satan coalition armies. When the four started to take command of the troops, the tide of the war began to shift.
Each each of the Anti-Satan ace fighters began turning the time of the battle, they encountered the children of the Satans who they fought against, with Ajuka killing the Tsufaame Leviathan, Sirzechs and Serafall killing Damaidosu Asmodeus, and at the end of the warm Sirzechs killing Bidleid Beelzebub in a final battle.
With the children of the Satans' dead, the thrones of the Satans were unclaimed as Zekram Bael suggested that the four aces of the Anti-Satan Faction: Sirzechs Gremory, Ajuka Astaroth, Serafall Sitri and Falbium Glasya-Labolas, be made the new Satans due to their power. While initially reluctant, they took up the positions of the New Satans as the Anti-Satan Faction split between support for the new Satans' and the newly created Great King Faction; which was headed by the Bael Clan, as the two entered into a political tug-of-war for the new several centuries.
